InfoTiles is celebrating after being awarded waste & water challenger of the year at Urban Tech Challengers 2022.

The contest, hosted by  Urban Tech Forward and BloombergNEF in Warsaw, Poland on September 27-28, attracted more than 400 innovators in seven categories aimed at transforming urban sustainability using powerful technology solutions.

InfoTiles was selected as the winner in the waste & water track by a panel of industry experts from global corporations, venture capitalist firms, ecosystem builders, and media partners.

Adam Wood, chief product officer at InfoTiles, pitched live to the panel showcasing how it helps utilities build resilience to the challenges faced in water and wastewater and how customers or investors can collaborate on its mission to secure sustainable water and wastewater for all.

"We are thrilled with the recognition from the UrbanTech Forward jury. Sustainability is a key part of all the challengers and it is great to see water getting attention,” said Adam Wood, chief product officer at InfoTiles. Water issues often go unnoticed as equipment is hidden away, but this award proves that people and society are recognising how urgent it is to address these challenges.”

Johnny Alexander, chief executive of InfoTiles added, “InfoTiles are incredibly proud of winning the waste & water track and pushing the water agenda on the main stage. Water challenges will only grow in importance and the impacts on people will only increase as competing demands for clean fresh water in sectors such as agriculture, households, energy generation, industrial use, and ecosystems are intensified by the effects of climate change.

We believe that these conditions will create an increased risk for businesses, governments, communities, and the environment and InfoTiles is on the front foot of addressing these risks, now and in the future."
